Some praying mantises are known for their ability to seamlessly blend into their environment, mimicking the vibrant hues of flowers. Despite the outward semblance of harmony, female mantises following the mating process, display a cannibalistic tendency. They often decapitate their mates, a source of nutrition for themselves and the offspring.
